Sunday 15th March 2020 – South West Area Working Tests

Classes: Puppy, Novice Dog/Novice Handler (Unclassified), Novice and Open Working Tests for Flatcoated Retrievers.

(Held under the Rules and Regulations of the Kennel Club and the FCRS).

Venue: to be held at VB Farms, Spreyton, Devon on Sunday 15th March 2020, by kind permission of Mr V Bennett.

Judges: Dr Tim Woodgate-Jones ( A156), Mary Palk (NP), Sheila Neary (NP) Alex Brain (NP) 

Meet at 9.00am for a 9.30am start. Puppy, ND/NH and Open in the morning, Novice in the afternoon.

Definitions:

  • Puppy : For dogs from 9 to 18 months on the date of the test
  • Novice Dog/Novice Handler (unclassified): Neither dog nor handler to have won an award at a Field Trial or Working Test with the exception of Puppy/ Special Puppy or an award, other than 1st, in ND/NH.
  • Novice: for dogs that have not gained an award or COM at a field trial, been placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd in an Open working test or 1st in a Novice working test.
  • Open: Open to all dogs (preference will be given to qualified dogs)

All classes £8.00 per dog (members), £10.00 per dog (Non-members). Dogs must be registered with the Kennel Club.

Entries close on Saturday 7th March 2020.

Postal Entries only, please use a separate entry form for each entry.

Please enclose an SAE or email address for results of the draw.

Please make your own arrangements for lunch. Donations of raffle prizes and offers of help welcomed. Withdrawals made after the closing date of entries will forfeit entry fees.

Spreyton is located 25 minutes west from the M5 Exeter Services There is a service station/Travel Lodge at Whiddon Down where you exit the A30 and which is 10 minutes from the destination. Detailed directions will be sent with the draw.

The land owner, organisers and the FCRS cannot be help responsible for any loss, damage or accidents on the day, however caused. All dogs must be vaccinated and registered with the Kennel Club. Bitches in season will not be permitted on the grounds of the test.
