The Society’s perpetual working trophies

The Society awards a number of perpetual trophies for handlers and dogs that have been the most successful during a calendar year or specified period. Details of the trophies and the criteria for awards are set out below.

The Riverside Cup

Ron Lane’s Mahinda Mulberry Jenna of Sachbash, winner of the Riverside Cup in 2018/19.

Awarded to the handler and dog having achieved the most success in All-Variety and Breed Stake Field Trials during a shooting season: 12 August to 1 February each year. Claims are to be sent to the Hon. Field Trial Secretary by 14 February of the following year..

O’Neil “Pewcroft” Trophy

Points are awarded as for the Riverside Cup, plus Championship Show Points (where Challenge Certificates are offered for the breed). At least one show point must be obtained by wining a 1st, 2nd, 3rd or Reserve in a Breed class other than the Field Trial Class in the period 1 January to 31 December each year. Claims are to be sent to the Hon. Secretary by 14 February of the following year.

The Kysheemy Trophy for Obedience

Claims are to be sent to the Hon. Secretary by the 14 February of the following year. Points to be calculated between 1st January to 31 December as follows:

The Millennium Trophy for Open Agility Shows

Claims are to be sent to the Hon. Secretary by 14 February of the following year. Points to be calculated between 1st January to 31 December as follows:

* Points are awarded for clear rounds within the course time. Where less than 10 places are awarded in any class a competitor obtaining a clear round not in the places will be awarded points as shown for a clear round plus one point.

The Millennium Trophy for Working Trials

The Culmquill Millennium Trophy for Working Tests

Points only apply to Working Tests organised by Kennel Club Registered Societies and Clubs. Points to be calculated between 1st January to 31 December. Claims with full details are to be sent to the Hon. Secretary by 14 February of the following year. An additional two points should be added to any award gained at a KC Approved AV Working Test.
